Its Easter!!!!

Okay, so I haven't always been a fan of holidays, or Holy-Days as they are referred to. Growing up in a conservative religious background, we always shied away from "celebrating" or drawing special emphasis on particular days, i.e, Christmas and Easter. Easter used to mean to me, chocolate bunnies, Cadberry Eggs and Reese's Eggs (which I still enjoy those things). I used to joke that is the only time that some people step inside a church building, and we would laugh and go on our "holier than thou" way. But as I grow older, maybe I'm getting soft in my view, I have come to not to be as critical of others (which I think is a very Jesus thing to do) to those who CELEBRATE days like Easter and Christmas - and to those of you who ridicule others for celebrating you might want to start paying attention to those Scribes and Pharisees - you might find a mirror image. Oh, the argument is that "we just don't know when those events took place" - well, if you use that argument you may want to brush up on your Jewish festivals because, uh remember Christ was crucified the day before passover which, oh, yeah - happens to be this weekend.
But in all seriousness - Easter is a celebration for everyday - and we should celebrate it with the way we live our lives, as Christ was our sacrifice for us our lives should be LIVED in his honor because he died for US.

We should be grateful for "Easter" everyday - because he rose from the grave, we have hope, we have meaning in our life - and most of all we have the abundant life.
